My topic will be focusing on the fact that creative classes in high school are just as valid and important as core classes, since everyone learns in different ways. Obviously budget cuts are inevitable in these times, but I hope to spread awareness about that fact that art and music classes should not always be the first ones cut.
This topic is important to me because in high school, I was enrolled in every creative class possible, including Orchestra, multiple different art classes and Dance. Not only did these classes make high school bearable, but they taught me things I never would have learned sitting in Chemistry or Statistics. The whole reason I went into the field of graphic design was because I was introduced to it when I took a Digital Art class in high school.
I'm still working on nailing down the wording of my Problem and Purpose Statements, but I'll add them when they're finished.
